Residents of Hausa communities in Kwara state have been urged to support the community policing initiatives to ensure peace and security in the nook and cranny of the state.

The Sarkin Hausawa of Kwara state, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim made the call while speaking at a security meeting of hausa community leaders across the sixteen local government areas of the state held in his Palace in Ilorin.

According to him the security challenges bedeviling parts of the country required the support of every one to win the war.

Alhaji Abubakar explained that the issue of security should not be left in the hands of security agencies alone.

He advised community leaders to ensure vigilance and report any suspicious movement in their areas to security agencies for prompt action.

The Sarkin Hausawa urged parents to monitor the activities of their children to prevent them from joining bad group.

In his address the Sardauna of Ilorin , Alhaji Shehu Zamanlafiya appealed to all community leaders to carry along every member of the community on the issue of security to ensure success.

In his remark the Hausa Community Youth Leader in Kwara state, Alhaji Yahaya Uba urged the youths to shun drug abuse ,and contribute their quota to ensure better growth and development of the state.
