Nasarawa State Command of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA has arrested a female suspected drug dealer Mrs Rakiya Haladu and recovered 45 bags of Cannabis Sativa.

The Commander, Mr Justice Arinze at a news briefing in Lafia said the cannabis Sativa which weighed 474 kilograms was the biggest single seizure by the agency since the inception of the command in 1999.

He stated that NDLEA in collaboration with other security agencies under an operation code-named “Hana Kwaya” raided a drug warehouse in Lafia metropolis and arrested a female dealer in cannabis Sativa.

According to Mr Justice Arinze, the suspect Mrs Rakiya Haladu a sales agent for her husband who is at large with his other two wives.

The NDLEA State Commander further explained that the Operation “Hana Kwaya” which was launched two months ago had so far, arrested 54 drug suspects and seized 604 kilograms of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.

He however, commended the Chairman and Chief Executive of the agency for empowering the state command with logistics which led to the successes recorded.
