Army Commissions Accommodation For Personnel In Kaduna

The General Officer Commanding One Division Kaduna, Major General Landers Saraso has charged it’s personnel to remain law abiding and good ambassadors of the Army.

He gave the charge during the commissioning ceremony of a twelve unit cabin accommodation facility for officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (NARPAS) regiment held at the Nigerian Airforce base, Kaduna.

Major General Landers Saraso explained that the project was in line with the Chief of Army Staff Command Philosophy which is to “Transform the Nigerian Army into a well trained, Equipped and Highly Motivated Force Towards Achieving the Constitutional Responsibilities within a Joint Environment”.

The GOC also charged the personnel to ensure the serenity and good hygiene of the environment, and also abide by the rules and regulations of the base.

General Saraso commended the Air Officer Commanding Air Training Command, Air Vice Marshal Abubakar Abdullahi and the Commander, Nigerian Army Space Command brigade, Brigadier General Goodluck Ugeleka for all the support given to regiment, and the successes recorded so far.

Earlier in his welcome remarks, the acting commanding officer NARPAS, Major Peter Efe said since the inception of the regiment in 2022, the major challenge was that of accommodations, until the Army Chief graciously intervened.

He expressed his deepest appreciation to the COAS for the gesture and pledged to maintain it so as to justify the resources expended.

High point of the event were cutting of the commissioning tape, unveiling of the commissioning plaque, group photographs among others.
