The chairmanship candidates for the upcoming local government elections in Kaduna State have expressed their confidence in the State Independent Electoral Commission (KADSIECOM).
Speaking to Radio Nigeria during the screening exercise, Barrister Ibrahim Usman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), contesting for the chairmanship in Lere Local Government, along with Sulaiman Yakubu Anto from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sanga and Yustus Amadu from the Labour Party, were among those who expressed their confidence at the commission’s secretariat in Kaduna.
According to the candidates, the commission provided ample time and made the guidelines of the exercise clear and accessible to stakeholders across the state, ensuring transparency and equal participation in the process.
They maintained that the exercise was smooth, straightforward, and efficiently organized, ensuring a transparent and seamless process for all candidates involved.
The candidates from various political parties commended the management and staff of Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission KAD-SIECOM for their professionalism.
They stated that, based on the commission’s preparations so far, the Chairperson, Hajara Muhammad, and the staff are committed to ensuring the delivery of free, fair, and credible elections on October 19th, 2024.
