Federal Government has been urged to promptly address issues related to its agreement with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to prevent another strike action.

The Coordinator of the Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) Students’ Wing, Comrade Hassan Adamu, stated this during the inauguration of the National Executive Council of the Student Wing in Kaduna.

Hassan Adamu expressed concern over the rising insecurity across the country, which he said has caused psychological distress and anxiety among students.

He highlighted the urgent need for the government to reform the nation’s security architecture, suggesting the redeployment of troops to university campuses as a measure to ease these anxieties.

The National Coordinator emphasized the importance of providing electricity subsidies for tertiary institutions to enhance the learning environment and reduce the financial burden on educational facilities.
