Speaker House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, has congratulated Justice Kudirat Motonmori Olatokunbo Kekere-Ekun on her swearing in as the Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN).
Dr Abbas Tajuddeen who emphasized the pedigree of the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria believed that Justice Ekere Ekun would bring new reforms that enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the nation’s judicial system.
While wishing the acting CJN a successful tenure in office, the Speaker also assured the commitment of the 10th house to work with the judiciary under Justice Ekere Ekun’s watch to deepen Nigeria’s democracy.
The number four citizen however, advised the CJN to uphold the principles of fairness and justice in undertaking the national assignment in the interest of the territorial integrity of the judiciary.
Justice Ekere Ekun was sworn in as acting Chief Justice of of the federation by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to succeed Justice Kayode Ariwoola, who retired 22 August this year.
Speaker Abbas however, commended Justice Ariwoola for his efforts towards reforming the judicial arm of the government while wishing him happy retirement.
