Route Violation Claims 11 lives On Kaduna -Kano Expressway

Eleven people have lost their lives following a road accident around Gwargwaje, on the Kaduna-Kano express way.

FRSC sector commander in Kaduna state, Kabir Yusuf Nadabo made this known while speaking to Radio Nigeria kaduna.

The sector commander said the crash which occurred at 5:50 in the early hours of Friday involved a truck with registration number BUA 142 XA and a Golf Salon car with registration number FST 134 FX.

Kabir Yusuf Nadabo confirmed that preliminary investigation suggests that route violation was responsible for the unfortunate crash.

He explained that the Golf Salon car which had eleven passengers had taken the wrong route with no headlights and then collided with an upcoming truck with four people on board.

The FRSC boss in Kaduna affirmed that a rescue team from Zaria unit had conveyed all eleven corpses and the injured to ABUTH Shika.

He highlighted the fact that the Corps Marshall, Shehu Muhammad has given mandate for the immediate establishment of a outpost at Gwargwaje to check incessant road crashes around the area.

The sector commander further appealed to the motoring public to always ensure safety while on the nations highways.

He also tasked them to avoid overloading and over speeding amongst other acts capable of endangering the lives of the people.
