Kano Governor Condoles Families Of Slain Vigilante

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has condoled with the family of late Bashir Auwal Tudun Fulani, Deputy-Commander of Vigilante Tudun Fulani unit in Ungogo local government, who was killed a few days ago while trying to broker peace between factions of Yandaba.

Represented by the Director-General, Special Services Directorate, Government House, Kano, AVM Ibrahim Umaru (rtd), who led a delegation on a condolence visit to the families of the deceased condemned the killing , saying it was barbaric.

Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, who described the deceased as a hero, and patriotic Nigerian who paid the supreme price in his attempt to protect the lives and property of people of his community, local government and the state in general, tasked the security agencies to intensify effort in fishing out the killers of late Bashir Auwal.

While praying for the repose of the soul of the deceased and Jannatul Firdausi to be his final abode, he enjoined the families and the communities to bear the irreparable loss.

He therefore, cautioned youths in the state to live in peace with one another and avoid being used by the disgruntled elements to achieve their selfish interest that may result into unrest and threaten peace in the society.

Similarly, the representative of the governor visited Dukurawa quarters in Dala local government to commiserate with another Vigilante operative, Malam Baba Kukawa who was attacked, and injured by thieves while trying to prevent them from stealing solar installation appliances.

The governor appreciated the support of the Vigilante personnel in strengthening the security architecture in the state and urged them to redouble their efforts, assuring the support of government towards discharging their duties.

In their separate responses, the representative of the family of late Bashir Auwal and Malam Baba Kukawa appreciated the concern shown to them in the trying period and thanked the government for the financial support extended to them.

During the visit, the Director-General was accompanied by Director Special Service, Umar Baba Zubairu, State Commander of Vigilante, Alhaji Ubale Barau Badawa, his counterpart of Dala local government, Auwal Isah, and host of other officials.
