Zamfara Ministry Of Education Orders School Closure

The Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology in Zamfara State has announced the immediate closure of all schools across the state.

This decision, effective from 1st August 2024, has been approved by the Commissioner of Education, Mallam Wadatau Madawaki.

The closure is a precautionary measure to protect students from potential security threats associated with the planned nationwide protest.

In addition, the ongoing JLC Exams have been suspended, with new dates to be announced later.

Dr. Barira Ibrahim Bagobiri, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, conveyed the announcement to principals, head teachers, educational secretaries, proprietors of private schools, parents, guardians, and the general public.

The Ministry urges everyone to stay informed through official channels for updates regarding the resumption of school activities and the continuation of the JLC Exams.
