President Tinubu Meets APC Edo Gov Candidate, Oshiomhole, Others

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has held a private meeting at the State House in Abuja with the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the upcoming Edo State Governorship election, Monday Okpebholo, and his running mate, Dennis Idahosa.

The meeting also included former Governor Adams Oshiomhole and Minister for Niger Delta Development, Abubakar Momoh.

Following the meeting, Mr. Okpebholo declined to divulge specifics, citing its private nature.

Oshiomhole expressed confidence in the APC’s prospects in the November election, citing internal divisions within the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as advantageous.

He criticized the PDP’s internal conflicts and stressed the importance of adhering to primary election laws.

Adams Oshiomhole highlighted the influx of former PDP members into the APC and stressed the party’s expanding support base.

Minister Momoh also expressed optimism about the APC’s prospects, predicting Governor Obaseki would soon be leaving office.
