The Association of Local Government of Nigeria-ALGON has elected Katsina State ALGON Chairman, Alhaji Bello Lawal as the new President of the Association.
The election was held during the fiftieth National Executive Council Meeting-NEC of the Association in Lafia, the Nasarawa State Capital.
Alhaji Bello Lawal is now the current Chairman of Kaita local government area of Katsina state has succeeded the out going National President Alhaji Aminu Muazu-Maifata whose tenure as lafia local government chairman expired.
In his remark, The New National President said he would work tirelessly to provide the necessary leadership, collaboration and consultation with relevant stakeholders for the benefit of ALGON and other association members across the country.
Alhaji Bello Lawal also promised to work with federal and state governments for the progress of ALGON in all aspects to ensure more developmental project at the grassroots level.
