Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of Saturday’s local government polls in the state.
He stated this to newsmen in Imam Hassan Islamiyya Primary School Kafin Hausa local government area of the state.
Malam Umar Namadi commended the security agencies for taking measures to ensure hitch free election in the state.
He also expressed his appreciation on the orderly manner the people conducted themselves during the election.
The Governor also commended the state independent electoral commission JISIEC for the adequate arrangements ahead of the election.
Our Correspondent reports that there was large turn out of voters in some of the polling units visited in Dutse, Hadejia, Jahun,Gumel, Suletankarkar and Babura local government areas.
Namadi cast his vote at Imam Hassan Islamiyya primary school.
