Hollywood Legend James Earl Jones Dies At 93

James Earl Jones, the celebrated Hollywood actor and renowned voice of Darth Vader in the Star wars franchise and Mufasa in the Lion King has died at the age of 93.

His passing was confirmed by his agent, Barry McPherson, who stated that Jones passed away early Monday morning, surrounded by his family.

Jones’s career spanned decades, with notable performances in films such as Field of DreamsComing to America, and Conan the Barbarian. He was particularly famous for lending his deep, resonant voice to the iconic Star Wars villain, Darth Vader.

Beyond Star Wars, Jones was also known for voicing Mufasa in Disney’s 1994 hit The Lion King and for his role in CNN’s “This is CNN” tagline. Throughout his illustrious career, he received numerous awards, including Emmys, Tony Awards, a Grammy, and an honorary Oscar.
