Speaker House of Representatives Dr Abbas Tajuddeen, has condoled the family and the Government of Sokoto State over the killing of the District head of Gatawa, Alhaji Muhammadu Isah Bawa, by the bandits.
In a statement by his Special Advisor on Media and Publicity Malam Musa Abdullah Krishi, the Speaker described as inhuman and barbaric the kidnapping and the treatment of the traditional ruler and his son by the bandits.
Dr Abbas Tajuddeen, who described the continuous kidnapping for ransom in the country as unacceptable said stakeholders especially the security agencies must lift up to expectation to reverse the trend.
He prayed to Allah to have mercy on the soul of the late Alhaji Isa Muhammad Bawa and make Jannatul Firdaus his final abode.
The traditional ruler who was abducted on the 29th of July was reported to have died in captivity after series of inhuman treatment in the hand of the bandits before killing him last Wednesday.
