The Kano State Police Command has arrested a notorious armed robber and recovered two AK-47 rifles with 47 rounds of live ammunition.
The public relations officer of the command SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa disclose this to journalist in Kano
He said The sum of N4,986,000 was also recovered from the suspect, Hassan Iliya, 35, of Alhazawa Village, Musawa LGA, Katsina State.
The PPRO noted that arrest was made possible by intelligence-led patrols conducted by a team of detectives, despite the ongoing nationwide protest.
The suspect was caught attempting to escape on a motorcycle with a sack containing the weapons and cash.
He added that the Commissioner of Police, CP Salman Dogo Garba, has urged the public to remain patriotic and vigilant, reporting suspicious movements and activities to the police.
