Gov Uba Sani Blames Anarchists Sponsoring Youths to Raise Foreign Flag

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has attributed the involvement of children and youths in raising another country’s flag to a well-sponsored effort by some elements calling for anarchy.

He stated this while speaking with newsmen shortly after Assessing the security situation of the state along side security agencies following the imposition of 24 hours curfew as a result of #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest in Kaduna.

Governor Uba Sani said it was a deliberate attempt to create anarchy by taking advantage of the psychology of children and the cultural closeness to neighbouring countries like Niger Republic.

The Governor who dismissed the notion that the protests were about bad governance or hunger, stressing that, the initial genuine protesters were hijacked by sponsored elements exploiting uneducated and underage children.

He commended the security forces for their professional handling of the situation by allowing underage children to climb on police vehicles without resorting to force.

Governor Uba Sani pointed out that, an investigation into the matter was ongoing to bring out the root causes of the issue.

According to him, the sad aspect of the protest was that, a lot of innocent people who suppose to come out on daily basis to earn their daily mills were at home because of the curfew.

Malam Uba Sani had also visited the Fidelity Bank at Tudun Wada as well as the KADIPA and KASTELEA offices vandalised by the protesters.

The team also went round the metropolis to assess the level of compliance on the curfew imposed.
