Service Chiefs Update President Tinubu on National Security Situation

The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, has provided an update on the recent Protest and the unified response of Nigeria’s security agencies.

General Musa explained that the security agencies have been working closely together since the riots began.

He expressed concern over the display of foreign flags within Nigeria, describing it as a serious breach of the nation’s sovereignty.

General Christopher Musa emphasized that the President had instructed not to tolerate any individual flying foreign flags in Nigeria, as it is deemed a treasonable offense.

Addressing rumors about military involvement in looting, General Musa clarified that the military’s role has been to clear looted goods from affected areas, not to partake in the looting.

He reiterated the commitment of the security agencies to defending Nigeria’s democracy and ensuring the continuity of peace and tranquility in the nation.

He also noted that the military would step in to complement the Nigerian police in maintaining law and order in the country.
