Muslims Advised To Shun Violence

Muslims have been advised to shun all acts that are capable of destabilizing the Peaceful Coexistence being enjoyed in their various communities.

The Chief Imam of Hilal Mosque, Professor Yusuf Badmas, gave the advice in his Juma’at sermon in Ilorin.

He said the idea of staging violent protest to cause destruction in the society is unislamic.

According to him, there are many ways through which grievance’s can be table without Violence.

Professor Badmas explained that Islam has forbidden Muslims from instigating violence which may affects those who are wrong and innocent.

He said the Prophet has placed a curse on those who instigate violence of any nature.

The cleric urged Muslims to return to God for solutions to their problem.

He also prayed God to guide the leaders and the followers to do the right thing.
