One person has been killed by a stray bullet during the nationwide hunger protest in Yauri Town of Yauri local government area of Kebbi State.
Radio Nigeria Correspondent in Birnin Kebbi, reports that, youths in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital and Yauri town took to the streets to protest “End Bad Governance” chanting slogan “Mungaji da mulkin zalumci” we are tired of unfaithful rule.
He reports that, the protest in the state capital went peacefully with security being beefed off at strategic places but violent in Yauri
Radio Nigeria also reports that, in Yauri town one person was killed, an eye witness told Radio Nigeria that, the victim was not among the protesters saying, the man was in his shop when bullet hit him and he died at the hospital.
Similarly, the eye witness also said hoodlums that hijacked the peaceful protest went to Yauri market and started looting shops but security agencies dispersed the protesters.
