Niger Civil Society Coalition Accepts Government Dialogue Offer

A Coalition of Civil Society Organisation in Niger state has accepted the Federal Government offer of dualogue and called on its members from the nineteen Northern States to stand down their intended participation in the planned nationwide protest.

The Coordinator, Movement of Political Freedom Siyasa Yanci Nigeria, Comrade Mohammed Baba Usman announced this at joint press conference in Minna the Niger state capital.

Comrade Mohammed Baba Usman,said this had became imperative due to the Federal Government repeated calls for dualogue though traditional rulers and the Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris Malagi who has demostrated maturity and mutual respect to all sides.

He also pleaded with other groups and individuals to accept the Federal Government offer of dualogue due to significant steps taken to address some basic issues such as the granting of financial autonomy for Local Government Areas, signing of new minimum wage, students loan programme and reduction of CNG Gas prices by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu among others.

With the rethorics coming up and security advises they are convinced that dialogue remained the viable option.

According to him they are forwarding a letter of acceptance to dialogue with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu though the Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris soon.

Coordinator Youthlead Nigeria Comrade Mohammed Saidu Etsu explained that as critical stakeholders in the development process of Nigeria his members are left with no option than to accept the dialogue offer towards averting the looming crisis in Nigeria.

Those who spoke from other Organisation such as the Agaie Emirate Consultative Forum, Niger Progressive Forum and the Y’an Almajiri Endownment Initiative have all registered their support and acceptance to the Federal Government dialogue offer in the interest of peace and continued development of Nigeria.
