Jigawa State Completes 2024 Hajj with Final Flight of Pilgrims from Jeddah

Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has recorded the last flight of 307 pilgrims from Jeddah International Airport back to Nigeria after concluding the 2024 hajj exercise.

The Director General of the board, Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo stated this shortly after the arrival of the last batch from Saudi Arabia to Nuhu Muhammadu Sunusi International Airport.

He said the state pilgrims were airlifted by Max Air from the holy land, including the State Amirul Hajj, Emir of Hadejia, some committee members of the state house of assembly on hajj, and some top management officials of the board.

He added that, the last batch of the pilgrims were airlifted with Taraba state pilgrims from Jeddah International airport to Nigeria.

Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo pointed out that, the state had recorded a tremendous success and hitch-free hajj exercise.

Labbo therefore, commended Governor Umar Namadi for the support and cooperation given to the board during this year’s hajj operations.

Some of the pilgrims who spoke to Radio Nigeria shortly after their arrival thanked Allah for making it possible for them to perform this year’s hajj exercise.

They commended the DG for securing standard accommodation close to holy mosque in Makkah.

The pilgrims also expressed satisfaction with the arrangements made by the preachers and commended the officials of the board for taking good care of them while in the holy land.

Radio Nigeria reports that the pilgrims arrived healthy with their 8kg hand luggage and 32kg bags.
