Senator Launches Fertilizer Distribution to Constituents in Niger State

The Senator representing Niger East Senatorial District from Niger State, Senator Sani Musa, has flagged off the distribution of fertilizer to members of his constituency, calling on committee members not to exclude people from other political parties in the distribution exercise.

He also cautioned the beneficiaries against selling the inputs given to them free of charge, which are targeted at promoting food sufficiency in agricultural production.

The Senator made the call after flagging off the distribution of four thousand and fifty bags of fertiliser to farmers of nine Local Government Areas under his constituency in Minna, Niger state.

Represented by the Deputy Speaker Niger state House of Assembly Dr Eunice Dauda, Senator Sani Musa three one three, Charged members of the committee to be fair and just in the discharge of their responsibilities to achieve maximum results.

State Chairman of All Progressives Congress APC Alh Aminu Musa Bobi represented by his Deputy Zakari Ya’u applauded Senator Sani Musa for his untiring support to the party and party members at all times and called on  other law makers to emulate this laudable gesture.

Special Adviser to the Niger state Governor Political and Strategy, Mohammed Nma Kolo who described the effort of Senator in the fight against insecurity as highly commendable, also assured members of 99 wards in the constituency of additional fertiliser from the Senator soon to boost their productivity and enhance their income.

Chairman Advisory Committee to the Senator, Alh Baba Sule Bisalla explained that the distribution of the fertiliser at Local Governments level would be headed by Chairman of Local Government Areas to ensure probity and accountability in the entire exercise.

Speaking of behalf of other Chairmen, Chairman of Rafi Local Government Area Alh Ayuba Katako warned that any one found to have been involved in selling the product will be arrested and sanctioned to serve as deterent to others.

In his remarks the APC Zonal Chairman, Ahijjo Walijo said they are motivated by eight point six million hectares of erable land in Niger state for small farmers to thrive in providing food security given the much needed enabling environment and support by their leaders.

The nine Local Government Areas are Tafa Suleja, Gurara, Paiko, Shiroro, Chanchaga, Munya, Rafi and Bosso, with each Local Government Area expected to get one hundred UREA and three hundred and fifty NPK for onward distribution to the constituents for this years farming season.
