KNSG Supports KANET To Establish Youth Focus Trust Fund

The Kano Network of Non-Governmental Organizations (KANET) has paid a courtesy visit to the Special adviser to Kano state governor on youth and sport Ambassador, Yusuf Iman popularly known as Ogan Boye.

Speaking during the visit, KANET steering committee Chairman, Dr Musa Abdullahi Sufi stressed that Kano State youth require Government interventions across different dimensions.

“ As they say, Kano state is a home which accumulates northern state ideology, the establishment of Youth focus Trust fund will serve as an avenue that will scrap out many societal problems which affect the youth and have been in existence for years with zero approaches,”

KANET secretary general, Barrister Nura Ahmed Muhammad pointed out that, the Youth focus trust fund will be a great achievement to Kano state government in adopting new strategies for youth progress.

The Executive Director Youth Society for the prevention of infectious diseases and Social Vices YOSPIS, Zainab Nasir Ahmad who doubles as KANET advocacy coordinator, urged Kano state governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf to fulfil his promise to over 600 repentant thugs last year as many might go back to criminal activities.

The Senior adviser to Kano governor on youth and sport, Ambassador Yusuf Iman said the state government is always willing to invest on youth as they are backbone of the society.

“His administration will accept all ideas and proposals that will align with Kano state plans for youth and serve as a stepping tools to the progress of youth.

“ philanthropists and Non Governmental Organizations should assists Government in their own capability, this will go a long way for sustainable solutions to youth future”, He added.
