Federal Government has attracted 152 Billion Naira funding for the nation’s Power sector to boost Electricity generation and supply across the country.
This was achieved during a signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Federal Ministry of Power and the United States Agency for International Development, USAID, in Abuja.
The Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu at the signing of the MOU, expressed commitment of the President Bola Tinubu led Administration to the development of the Power sector to engender Economic growth and prosperity for Nigerians.
The Leader of USAID delegation, Melisa Jones and the Coordinator of Power Africa, Richard Nelson both commended the strides being made by the Federal Government in the Energy sector and gave an assurance, that the US Government would sustain support for viable projects aimed at improving the Lives of the Populace.
The Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Power, Mr. Mahmouda Mamman signed the MOU on behalf of the Federal Government while Melisa Jones signed on behalf of USAID.
