The National Leader of Munazzamatul Fituanul Islam, Dr. Abdullahi Sheikh Muhmud Salga, has urged the Federal Government to refute rumours that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has signed the LGBTQ rights charter.

In an interview with newsmen in Kaduna, he emphasised the need for the federal government providing clear information on the matter to dispel media and public speculations.

Sheikh Mahmud Salga maintained that Nigeria remains a country whose citizens adhere to Islam and Christianity, both of which oppose sodomy, lesbianism, and other acts of immorality.

The Islamic scholar also urged leaders at all levels to lead with compassion by coming up with policies that would cushion the effect of inflation and the high cost of food and non-food items.

According to him, this will enhance economic, social, and political stability within the polity, as well as promote good governance.

The leader of Munazzamatu also appealed to Nigerians from all parts of the country to continue praying for security, sustainable peace, and an end to the current economic hardships faced in the country.
