President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of a new board for the Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation (CREDICORP) and encouraged members to expedite access to consumer credit.
A statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, announced that the President has appointed Otunba Aderemi Abdul as Board Chairman (Independent Non-Executive Director), and Engr. Uzoma Nwagba as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer.
Others are Mrs. Aisha Abdullahi as Executive Director (Credit, Risk & Portfolio)/CRO, Ms. Olanike Kolawole as Executive Director (Operations)/COO, Dr. Armstrong Ume Takang as Non-Executive Director (MOFI Nominee), and Dr Peter Iwegbu – Non-Executive Director (NIMC Nominee).
The President similarly, appointed Mr. Mohammed Nasiru Abbas as Non-Executive Director (FMITI Nominee) ,Mr. Marvin Nadah – Non-Executive Director (FCCPC Nominee) and FMF Representative – Non-Executive Director (FMF)
The statement emphasizes that the President anticipates the new Board members of this crucial institution to apply their extensive experience, competence, and dedication in fulfilling CREDICORP’s mission of enhancing access to consumer credit for millions of Nigerians.
