Written by Yusuf Zubairu

The Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) Jigawa State Chapter has commended Governor Umar Namadi for his outstanding contributions to food security in Jigawa State and Nigeria.

This recognition has earned him a place among the top five performing governors and the prestigious Diamond Award from the NIPR National Headquarters in Abuja.

The Institute’s Public Relations Officer for the chapter, Isma’il Yakubu, announced in a statement that Governor Namadi has been appointed as the Patron of the NIPR in the state, with an investiture ceremony planned for the near future.

The chapter commended Commissioner for Information, Youths, Sports, and Culture, Sagir Musa Ahmad for organizing a successful press conference that highlighted state commissioners’ projects from the past year, playing a key role in Governor Namadi’s national recognition.

The statement adds that the NIPR National Executive Council, led by President Dr. Ike Neliaku, introduced the Reputation Perception Index (RPI) project to Governor Namadi.

This initiative aims to strengthen the relationship between state governors and their constituents.

The chapter also expressed concern over recent clashes between farmers and herders in Baranda of Dutse LGA, emphasizing the need for RPI intervention to find a lasting solution to these conflicts.

NIPR Jigawa Chapter Chairman, Basheer Yusha’u, stated that the institute, as a team of professional crisis managers, is ready to support the government in managing such crises for the benefit of the people of Jigawa State.
