Kano State High Court has granted an ex parte application allowing charges of alleged financial misappropriation to be served on the National Chairman of the APC and former Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, his family, and others through two widely circulated national dailies.

Justice Amina Adamu Aliyu granted the order following an ex parte application submitted by Barrister Zaharaddeen Hamisu Kofar Mata.

Despite objections raised by the counsel to the 6th Defendant, Lamash Safari Textiles Ltd, Nuraini Jimoh SAN in court, the judge ruled in favor of the prosecution.

Earlier, Barrister Adamu Ya’u appeared in court on behalf of the prosecution.

However, counsel to the 6th Defendant, Lamash Safari Textiles Ltd, Nuraini Jimoh, SAN challenged his appearance and argued that there was a specific fiat given to Adeola Adedife (SAN) that could not be shared with any other lawyer.

In his response regarding the fiat, Barrister Adamu mentioned that he had also been given a fiat by the Attorney General but stated that he did not have the fiat with him at that time.

In her ruling regarding the appearance, Justice Amina Adamu Aliyu adjourned the case to July 11, 2024, and ordered the involved counsel to address the court on the matter of the fiat.

Radio Nigeria reported that the defendants in the case include Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Hafsat Umar Ganduje, Abubakar Bawuro, Umar Abdullahi Umar, Jibrilla Muhammad, Lamash Safari Textiles Ltd, and Lesage General Enterprises.
