Niger State Approves N25B For Gratuity, Pension Payments

Niger State Governor Mohammed Umar Bago has approved the release of twenty five billion naira for the payment of pension and gratuity of retired civil servants in the state.

Similarly the Governor directed that all civil servants  due for promotion in the state should be elevated immediately.

Governor Bago gave the approval at the commissioning of operational vehicles and CNG Buses at the Trade Fair Complex in Minna.

Alhaji Mohammed Umar Bago explained that the CNG buses will convey  students,  security agents and medical workers free of charge , while civil servants will have discounted grade to ameliorate their hardship.

He said in the next six month , the number of CNG buses will hit one thousand while plans are underway  to bring additional one hundred electric vehicles to the state.

The Niger state Governor said the measure is to empower women and youth for inter and intra state transportation to reduce emissions in line with his administration’s green economy initiative.

In his remarks, the Secretary to State Government Alhaji Abubakar Usman expressed optimism that the developmental strides of the present administration will make the state achieve great things.

Governor Mohammed Umar Bago  commissioned CNG buses,  fifty security vehicles and fifty transformers among others.
