KDSG Commissions New Science Secondary School, 6.2km Road In Kaura LG

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has commissioned new Boys Science Secondary School in Manchock and 6.2 kilometer Tachira – Kadarko Asphalt Road both in Kaura local government area of the state.

Speaking at the commissioning of the school, Governor Sani said education is a fundamental pillar for human capital development and economic empowerment.

He explained that, the commissioning of the Boys Science Secondary School was an important step towards repositioning youths to be relevant in a fast changing and complex world, emphasizing that science and technology are key drivers of economic development.

The governor noted that the state government is massively rehabilitating and constructing classrooms in primary and secondary schools  as well as raising the quality of teachers through sustained training and retraining.

According to him, Kaduna State government in partnership with Google,  had so far trained over three thousand women and girls in data science, artificial intelligence, and applied digital technology.

“Our target is 5,000 women and girls. I am confident that with the pace at which we are moving, we shall reach that target sooner than later”.

“Our administration is also frontally addressing the problem of out – of – school children. We have mounted an aggressive campaign for enrolment and retention of out – of – school children. The building and rehabilitation of primary and secondary schools is aimed at providing access to education for our children, especially children of the poor, vulnerable and underserved”.

While commissioning the 6.2 kilometer Tachira – Kadarko Asphalt Road, Governor Sani said it was a clear signal that his administration’s rural transformation drive is gathering momentum.

“We are matching our words with sustained action. Our administration has prioritized infrastructure development, especially road infrastructure. Good roads enhance economic development and help in the building and strengthening of understanding, cooperation and friendships”.

“Since the inception of our administration, we have performed the groundbreaking of 54 roads across Kaduna State, totalling 679.5km. Some of the roads have been completed and commissioned, while others are nearing completion”.

“This Tachira – Kadarko Asphalt Road will provide access to farms and markets, reduce cost of transportation, and improve livelihoods”.

Malam Uba Sani appreciated the people of Tachira and Kadarko for cooperating with the contractors during the construction of the road project.

Deputy Governor of the State, Dr Hadiza Balarabe and other top government officials accompanied  the governor to grace the occasion.
