KDSG To Construct Fifty Secondary Schools Projects – Governor

Kaduna State government has finalized plans to award the construction of additional fifty secondary schools project across the state.

The State Governor Malam Uba Sani announced this while commissioning the newly constructed Senior Secondary School Rigachikun , in Igabi Local Government area of the state.

Malam Uba Sani explained that, the school commissioned in Rigachikun is one of the sixth two secondary schools awarded for construction and rehabilitation in the first phase of his administration’s educational revitalization drive.

According to him, most of the projects have been completed and commissioned while the remaining ones are on the verge of completion.

He noted that the new secondary school will provide students with the best possible environment to learn, grow, and thrive.

“You will recall that when I performed the groundbreaking for the construction of this school on 31st August 2023, I made a commitment that it would be speedily completed. We have matched our words with action, to the glory of Almighty Allah”.

According to him, the milestone marks a significant step in his administration efforts at addressing one of the leading constraints to education which includes accessible, safe and conducive learning spaces.

“Our administration has prioritized education because it is the best investment against poverty and insecurity. When you give a person education, you have empowered him or her for life. You have given the person an opportunity to realize his or her potentials. An educated person cannot be easily manipulated by forces of evil or conflict merchants. An educated girl or woman is a huge asset to society”.

The Governor maintained that, the completed schools are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, innovative learning spaces and safety features toward ensuring that children focus on what matters most , particularly acquiring knowledge and developing their full potential.

“I urged the students to make the most of these wonderful facilities. Embrace the opportunities they provide, explore your passions, and strive for excellence. Remember, the knowledge and skills you acquire here will empower you to shape a brighter future for yourself and our society”.

He also inspected the ongoing construction of the Technical and Vocational Skills Acquisition City at Rigachikun.
