His Excellency Senator Uba Sani, had earlier given his commitment for a benchmark of 15% for the health sector in our annual budgets. And so in the 2024 budget, we allocated N71.6 billion to the health sector, which represents a significant 15.63%”

This government will continue to give the needed support to our health training institutions”

According to him, the hostel project commissioned was fast-tracked and completed by the current administration, inorder to meet the accommodation requirements of the students in the school, which was short.

Malam Uba Sani also informed the nursing students that accreditation has been obtained for the school for ND Nursing students from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), while accreditation for Basic Nursing, Basic Midwifery, Post-Basic Nursing, Community Nursing, and Community Midwifery was granted by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

In a related development, the Deputy Governor on behalf of Governor Uba Sani has commissioned the Kafanchan Municipal Authority Office Complex.

He noted that, the establishment of the Metropolitan Authorities was not intended to replace or duplicate the functions of Local Governments, but to act as City Managers to complement the work of Local Government Councils, add value to their statutory roles, accelerate development, and improve infrastructure.

The governor maintained that, the office would serve as a hub for sharing ideas and fostering teamwork to move forward.

It shall also provide space for coordinating government work and receiving inputs from citizens in the area. This initiative responds to rapid urbanization, as against fragmented growth as a result of limitations imposed by boundary demarcations of Local Governments,”
