Nasarawa State Government, under the leadership of Governor Abdullahi Sule, has announced a revolutionary transformation in the state’s transport sub-sector with the launch of state-of-the-art buses known as “Nasarawa Luxury Ride”.
The introduction of these new buses is undoubtedly a milestone achievement by the current administration, aimed at alleviating the current economic hardships, including the high cost of road transportation, to improve the living conditions of the state’s residents
A statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Affairs, Mr. Peter Ahemba, explains that the new initiative would enhance efficiency and proper management of the buses.
It says the State Government has engaged the services of a renowned transportation company to achieve the set targets.
“The new buses are designed to meet the transportation needs of residents of Nasarawa State. The buses boast advanced technology, ergonomic interiors, and superior fuel efficiency, making them an ideal choice for both short and long-distance journeys.
“The vehicles are also equipped with facilities to cater for the needs of elderly passengers, people with disabilities and families traveling with little children, thus ensuring inclusivity across all segments of the society and overall comfort”, it explains.
The statement maintains that, the initiative is part of Government’s commitment to enhancing the transportation infrastructure and services in the State, with a view to improve the daily lives of residents and promote sustainable mobility options.
While emphasizing that this development marks the beginning of a new era of improved connectivity and accessibility within the state, it is added that residents and visitors of Nasarawa State will have the opportunity to enjoy an enhanced commuting experience.
This includes subsidized fares, reduced travel times, increased comfort, and improved reliability.
“The new buses were formally launched by the State Governor at a ceremony held at the Yahaya Sabo Bus Terminal, Lafia. The Governor was represented at the event by the State Commissioner for Works and Transport, Alhaji Adamu Gosho.
“In view of the foregoing, we
call on citizens to embrace this transformation and support the new public transportation system for the good of all and sundry. Indeed, the people’s Governor, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule is Exceeding all Expectations”, the statement notes.
