Muhammad Kamaldeen University Matriculates Over 146 Students

The newly established Muhammad Kamaludeen University, Ilorin has
matriculated its first set of one hundred and forty six (146 ) students.

Speaking on the occasion the vice chancellor of the university, Professor Rasheed Jimoh said that the institution has developed an inovative course that will equip the new students with startup of over one thousand Dollars (1000 USD) to register their proposed companies to grow their skills.

He said the university has introduced initiatives that will equip the students for critical thinking to enable them cope with globally competitiveness.

The vice chancellor explained that one of such initiatives was the development of innovative courses and idea creation to equip students right from their first semester with necessary entrepreneurship and innovative skills .

Professor Jimoh noted that the university would facilitate registration of startup companies for the selected viable ideas generated by teams of students through Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and assist the startup to scale through investments in the companies .

He said the university had taken off with 15 academic programmes approved by the National Universities Commission(NUC).

In his remarks, the chancellor of the university and Emir of Ilọrin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu- Gambari urged those seeking university admission to take advantage of the uniqueness of the new institution.

The monarch paid glowing tributes to the founder of Ansarul Islam Society of Nigeria, the late Sheikh Muhammad Kamaldeen Al- Adabbiy for fusing Islamic education with Western education which eventually culminated in the establishment of the university in his memory.
